Vacation Countdown | Until I Go ("the App", "we", "us") is published by In One Place App Ltd. This privacy policy explains how the App handles information.
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any identifying information.
Any trip content you enter into the App (including trip names, destination text, dates, and any photos you add) is stored exclusively on your own device, and, if you use widgets, in your device's shared App Group storage. This content is never transmitted to us or to any third party, with one exception:
As you type in a trip's Destination field, your in-progress search text is sent to Apple's
Maps service (via MKLocalSearch) to suggest matching places. This is the same
thing that happens when you type into Apple Maps' own search bar. No third-party service is
involved, and no account or advertising identifier is attached to these requests.
Suggestions are entirely optional. Ignoring them and typing freely behaves identically to not having this feature at all. The destination you actually save to a trip is stored only on your device and is never transmitted, regardless of whether you used a suggestion to fill it in.
We use Firebase / Google Analytics to understand how the App is used, for example which screens are visited. These events are linked to a device-level identifier, but never to your trip names, destinations, or photos, which stay on your device.
To help us understand demand for future travel-specific features, the App may derive a general trip category (for example, "cruise" or "theme park") from your saved destination text, entirely on your device, using simple keyword matching. Only this general category may be included in an analytics event. Your original destination text is never included.
The App offers a one-time "Plus" unlock, processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat, which we use to manage and verify purchase status across your devices. RevenueCat uses the same device-level analytics identifier described above to attribute a purchase to the usage patterns that led to it. We never see or store your payment card details. Those are handled entirely by Apple.
Trip content is stored locally on your iPhone using the following mechanisms:
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored trip data from your device.
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
The App does not use advertising networks or social sign-in services, and does not sell your information.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
When you download the App via Apple's App Store, Apple may collect certain aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g. download counts) as part of their platform. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours.
If we ever update this policy (for example, if we add features that change how data is handled), we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required by law, notify you in the App.
